This tasty-looking tidbit comes from the wonderfully-named foodie site Holy Shitake. It's bacon! It's baklava! It's Maple Bak'nlava! As described on the site, it's "buttery layers of salty bacon, sweet maple syrup and crunchy nuts....a breakfast party in your mouth". Wow. I love baklava, especially following a delicious meal of moussaka, but I never would have thought of making a salty-sweet version with bacon. Wonder if I can get Holy Shitake to Fed Ex me a package for a tasting party?
We can change the way we make eggs -- scrambled, poached, fried -- but what about changing the eggs themselves? Mix up your scrambling routine with quail eggs.

Ok, so I'm Greek and I grew up in the South - this is perfect! Sounds much more unique than baklava ice cream or baklava cheesecake. Besides, anything with bacon added becomes instantly better.
