I can't read Japanese, but BoingBoing says the above is a watermelon, packaged as a Godzilla Egg. Anyone want to translate the text for us?

It says, "Gojira no tamago" which does indeed mean Godzilla's Egg.
The Japanese are clearly insane. So why do I want one too?

Yep, that's that's what it says. Although on the explanation page, they do say it isn't really a dinosaur egg, it's just a watermelon.
I like the bomb shaped one they call DYNAMITE!
