Following up on a previous post, I have a little more information about restaurants that have survived Hurricane Katrina. The iconic Cafe du Monde, famous for their delicious beignets (fried fritters dusted with powdered sugar that taste like little fluffy bits of heaven) is still standing as are Bourbon Street clubs Hurricane City, Barely Legal and the Fat Catz Bar. In general most restaurants in the French Quarter are still standing although obviously they have lost their food supplies and in some cases their wine cellars. Cafe du Monde Still Standing
