Hurricane Food

The Miami Herald has put together a collection of recipes on their site for those who might be without power as the latest hurricane careens through. The list of salads and quick meals might also be helpful for those of us dealing with California's latest heat wave and rolling blackouts.  For me hot weather is always an excuse to do appetizer night for dinner. Fresh vegetables, dips, a crusty sourdough, chevre, manchego, a little chutney, grapes, apples... who needs electricity?
