Why does this picture from Alton Brown’s weblog not surprise me? I look forward to seeing exactly what this masked superhero with waffles attached to his upper body will do. I guess I’ll just have to wait and find out.For those not familiar with Brown’s blog, it really is worth a look every now and then. I say ‘now and then’ because it isn’t updated all that frequently. I guess most food bloggers don’t have a television show to create as well. Still, this isn’t particularly a food blog, and its title, Rants & Raves, is pretty appropriate.
If you’re a fan of Alton Brown and Good Eats, then you’ll probably enjoy reading his opinions on the likes of celebs like Tom Cruise and Martha Stewart or learning his recipe for ‘white trash’ candy bars. Even if you’re not a die-hard fan, Brown’s blog, and the rest of his website, are worth checking out.

The new format is not as campy and too artsy for my tastes.

It reminds me of the earliest episodes, before camp ruled the day.
I'm glad the pendulum has swung back towards the middle.
